Has anyone mentioned folding drying racks? I have 3 so far. Those rods are just right for AG hangers. If you live near a fabric or craft store that offers doll accessories, the wire hangers (not from AG) are OK for regular clothes rods in closets. Another option is to store all clothes like shorts & tops, undies, socks, nightshirts & pjs, sweaters, etc. in those plastic under-bed storage containers with locking lids. When I lived in an apartment with big closets, my Dad rigged up a series of clothes rods hung from the regular rod, with straightened and then bent coathangers to support the dowels that the doll clothes hung on. He put in three tiers in each closet. That was great until I moved into a 1950's house with very few closets, which is why I bought the drying racks!

It also occurred to me tonight that maybe a brass of wrought iron curtain rod would work too. That is, if you want the items out, like sort of on display, if you have the room.

I just checked out my towel bar rods. The wooden one in our daughter's bathroom is too large, the hanger won't slip over the dowel.
But the brass one in our bath is fine, it really only needs to be a smidge more away from the wall for the hanger to hang completely straight.
Just an idea that I might use myself! Take those hangers with you though to go shopping,
Laurie
